I served as the Vice of External Communications, leading all press relations, members’ communications, and social media for the 2023-2024 NYJL Season.
Here are some of my wins:
- We raised our presence in the press with 5+ media placements with in-person event coverage with a team of three for outreach.
- I created over 10+ organic social content assets to be posted across three brand NYJL accounts and over 50 community member accounts.
- I created all email copy for over 20+ newsletters to 10K email readers focusing on Winter Ball.
- I managed talent for day of the event with 8+ musicians, three photographers, seven honorees (honored volunteers and guests of honor), and four press outlets.
- I auctioned off my press and communications services for a silent auction item.
- I created over 10+ internal and external documents, including press releases, thank you letters, personal draft copies for the Brand President and Co-Chairs, and a press run of the show.
- I raised over 3K personal dollars with Rolodex of community members and past brand partners like Estée Lauder, Bumble and bumble and Coucou French Classes.
- I led a team of 2 on the entire press and communications planning of the event, which included training on how to talk with the press, how to speak with talent, run of show documentation, and more.
- I partnered with five other teams, the WB Auction Subcommittee, NYJL Auction Committee, NYJL Content Creation Team, NYJL Communications Group, and NYJLArchives & Photography, to coordinate the entire press & communications of the Winter Ball.
Our brand wins:
- The largest fundraiser for the New York Junior League, the oldest women’s volunteer organization in New York.
- All organized, planned, and hosted by volunteers.
- Record-breaking win of raising 700,000 and counting across Silent Auction, Live Auction, Cash Donations, Sponsorships, and more
- Highest amount of Luxury and Fashion Sponsorships in the history of the Winter Ball with ASD Gems, Beck Bags, and Moët & Chandon.
- Successfully partnered with Luxury shoe designer Sarah Flint and her team for an honoree award and a donation on behalf of the Winter Ball with a sale code
